Hi All, Anyone have thoughts suggestions regarding bead seat cover or sheepskin seat cover. Also what is a good rear trunk (not huge) with integral back rest and mount kit for the money.

If you are trying to save money but get removable storage, and a backrest,
and even with integrated light kit, the best bang for the buck is the bestem
top box. www.bestemusa.com Look at the T-Box link.

If money is of no concern, the most expensive is the givi, but you will
spend a few hundred dollars to get the same thing that you can get for 69.95
including shipping,(for the t-box) so it's just a personal choice.

Everyone who has a givi will stand by them, eveyrone who has bought a bestem
t-box does the same. Personally, I took the few hundred I saved and am able
to do maintenance for the next 3 years on both of my honda scooters!!!
That's how much of a difference in cost you are looking at for all the same
items, such as light kit, removal ability, backrest, etc. Givi sells all of
those things separately, go figure!!

Good Luck with your choice!

Hope this helps.

I believe that it has been reported that the Bestem sometimes rattles and
extra 'padding' was required to eliminate that.
I don't believe that any of us with the Givi have encountered that.

So far both of mine have done well, but perhaps I'm an exception.

How's riding in the "dark" doing so far?

Darkside report (was Re: Honda Reflex Group Seat cover and rear trun

Sun Mar 21, 2010 3:45 pm (PDT)

I've gotten to a point where I don't notice that I am riding on a car tire.
I've taken some pretty sharp turns (freeway entrances) and the bike handles
like it did before.
So far, I'm pleased.

Very good! Well I'm eeking out a few more miles on my avon then I'm off to
lake city to get mine mounted sometime in the next two weeks. I will put up
a photo on my album showing the odometer and one of the tire. Glad to hear
you are enjoying it.

Just duct tape them cross wise across the seat like they would in Ballard.

Subject: Honda Reflex Group Ski Attachment?

This may seem a bit off, but sometimes that's part of the fun of being a scooter driver.

I'm looking for a solution to carry skis on my 07 Reflex Sport.

There are options for snowmobiles, so it can't be that impossible.

So far, I envision the skis strapped base to base, oriented with the tails in the foot well of the Reflex, and the tips to the rear, strapped to one side of the passenger grab handle. This is the most aerodynamic position I can think of so far.

First priority of course is something safe, that won't come apart at speed, thus endangering lives and ski tuning.

Has anyone tried this? Or have thoughts to help realize my dream? :p

Cheese & Crackers!

Where's Uncle Jed and Jethro when you need 'em?!? Strap Granny & her rocker to the back wing! She won't even have to rock if the winds right.....

Loaded up the scoot and moved to Beverly........

I would think that if it doesn't fit in either a hump bag over the gas tank, under the seat, in a back pack on your back or hanging from the h-bars, or in one of those nice trunk gizmos that maybe you shouldn't be trying to carry it...........

JMHO here. I don't want to cause any firestorms of flaming. You want skis, you carry them. Just sounds a bit dangerous to your health to me....

Again, just my humble opinion! Personally, I'm just so happy to have my email working once again that my fingers are dancing! Computer has been "sick" for a few days now....91 incoming emails......

First day of Spring was pretty awesome here in Connecticut with temps in the low 70s. Nice! Lots of 2 wheelers out and about.

Battery life?

Keith has a very good question.
I'm curious too.
What do we know about battery storage?
Is storing the battery on a concrete surface really killing the battery?
Why?
How to best store one? Cold or warm? Charge it how often?
Good questions (but probably already answered in a forum somewhere).....
okay, I'm done

I think my dealer was thinking of the way I ride. You see when the snow and ice get off the roads around April or so I start riding my Reflex consistantly never riding in my car at all. I ride rain or shine and a lot of times I make long distant rides, so I think my dealer didn't want me 500 mile from home and have my battery die.

Well I bought one but when I got the scoot out and riding I can't see any problem with the one I have installed (factory). Can I just store the new one till I start having problems?
