Ski Attachment?

This may seem a bit off, but sometimes that's part of the fun of being a scooter driver.

I'm looking for a solution to carry skis on my 07 Reflex Sport.

There are options for snowmobiles, so it can't be that impossible.

So far, I envision the skis strapped base to base, oriented with the tails in the foot well of the Reflex, and the tips to the rear, strapped to one side of the passenger grab handle. This is the most aerodynamic position I can think of so far.

First priority of course is something safe, that won't come apart at speed, thus endangering lives and ski tuning.

Has anyone tried this? Or have thoughts to help realize my dream? :p

COOL! Actually it's not that far off. Once upon a time I had a Honda
Helix that I had strapped 2X4s and some other bits of wood trim to the side, and on more than one occassion! I often thought of it as my
2 wheeled pickup truck. (Poor thing, the abuse and humiliation it had
to suffer under my grip.)

I don't remember exactly how I had managed to secure it up front, but
like the Reflex Sport, the Helix had something of a grab rail at the
back which was relatively easy to just strap anything onto using
bungee cords or whatever was handy at the time. I did wrap towels
around the stuff where it was strapped down so it wouldn't scratch
the paint.(Well, not too much anyway)

I did not let anything intrude into the footwell however and had the
load running paralell to the ground mostly. (sort of, but not always)
So it was roughly seat height front to back but with the load below
the handlebars at the front. There was still plenty of room to put my
feet out when stopping. And it should go without saying, but I would
only strap stuff to one side, usually the right side. I don't recall
that it had any tendency to tipping.

So you need some way to FIRMLY secure them at the grabrail and just something to keep the skis from slapping the side of your scoot at
the front. Also not blocking the turn signals front or back nor interfering with steering.

I'll have to look and think about it... I love this kind of stuff.

Okey dokey!
The pokey-DOT guy said:

I agree, those are my thoughts too... It must be crazy to go
skiing!!! Isn't that dangerous?
I mean, people fall down an break bones an stuff and frost bite too
and OMG! JEEZ!! Avalanches!!! ............................

But, if ya wanna get to the ski slope with yer scoot, that's cool...

Some pics I just took with a basic idea of how you might carry your
skis are in an album named 2X4 (or skis) Tie down. An 8 foot 2X4
makes an appearance as stand in for skis.(since I don't have any.)
BTW, I'm pretty sure skis are NOT 8 feet long, but you just have to
account for that when tying down your skis, 2X4s or whatever. And I'm
sorry if the pics are difficult to understand, but it was a bit
crowded in the garage and I just didn't feel like pulling the bike
out.

Though this Reflex Sport currently has a wing in the back, the grab
rail usually found on the Sport model should work about the same.
At the front, I laced a ratchet tie down in one vent then out the
other so that the ratcheting part was on the left and the 2 hooks
were on the right just below the glove box. The straps lay over the
turn signals, and it's tightened enough to not move but not so tight
that it might cause something to crack. The purpose of the ratchet
strap is to give a lower anchor point at the front. I used the
parking brake as an upper anchor point. It pulls sideways on the
parking brake lever not down. But, if you're not comfortable with
hooking onto the lever, then you might try hooking onto the plastic
where the brake lever goes inside as an alternative.

A bungee cord was used here for demonstration to hold the 2X4. But,
you'd probably want to use something that won't stretch so it won't
be able to move up and down. Maybe like using some of that excess
strap, but include the bungee cord too so it will hug the skis close
to the scooter. And use some kind of padding to protect the paint job.

Be creative, have fun and be safe.(don't go emulating certain Olympic
skiers.)

Hi all,
Long time no chime in. I have a small leak in my back tire and wanted to put PJ1 in it, but can't find dealer who can order it, nor find it online to order myself. Does anyone know of something else we can use. I know we can NOT use Slime, but don't know of another product we can use. Thanks

Battery life?

I have a 07 Reflex and just before the snow started last year my dealer suggested I get a new battery when I start riding this year. Well I bought one but when I got the scoot out and riding I can't see any problem with the one I have installed (factory). Can I just store the new one till I start having problems?
