The Avon Viper Stryke is $37.50 at Bike Bandit. I have them on my Reflex as replacements for the Hoops, and they are, I feel, a major improvement over the stock tire. I have a freind in England who owns a Buell Blast (1 of 5 in the country, I believe), and she put the Avons on with similar good review after. Don't just shop by price, as your tires are what keep you safely on the road, but in this case, they DO cost a lot less than Hoops AND are better* tires!

I also put on the avon strykes at last tire change.

There was a noticeable difference, but I had ran my hoops to almost 12k so
they were pretty worn out, lol.

So far, at about 8,000 miles, the front is holding up fine and will do as
well as the hoop did (mileage)

The rear however, isn't faring so well. I'm not sure it will see 10k. I do
all highway miles, no city driving so I should see the best mileage out of
any tires I try.

I'll report back when I change them. I am planning to go to bike week at
the end of the month in Daytona and the rear tire has me a bit concerned, so
I may end up replacing it before I go to Daytona, we'll see.

By then I'll have another 1200 miles on the bike, as I average about 400
miles a week.
