Oops - I failed to ask - are you SURE it is the ENGINE, or (as someone inferred) could it be the clutch/variator drivetrain?

I haven't had a chance to ride it much because of the weather but I have experienced a definite hesitation when I roll-on the gas leaving a stop. Then the engine "catches" and goes very nicely. Anyone had the problem? Thanks. Dennis

It is running too lean, or has water in the fuel.

As someone suggested, first try a fresh tank of gas - and add some "Dri-gas".

If that doesn't do it, try draining the fuel float bowl and pumping the tank dry.

Or tightening everything around the carb to hopefully eliminate any air leaks.

Or - using the "red straw" provided with many spray cans, spray starting fluid around the intake area to see if there's a leak. Also make sure it has a STOCK air filter element installed.

Please post back with your findings so that others can benefit...

Hope that helps
